Why I love it here — and why you will, too.

I've travelled to many parts of the United States and Europe and I can honestly say that this is one of the most beautiful places in the world.  I often say that it's no wonder that the area was settled by German immigrants because it looks so much like the Southern part of German, Bavaria, where I've travelled extensively.  When my partner and I moved out of Center City Philadelphia to our home in the Phoenixville area, we were two of the first “settlers” of an area that was just beginning to sprout.  Today, the area has grown phenomenally: downtown Phoenixville, which had nearly died when the steel mill it centered around went out of business, has undergone an incredible renaissance that includes a beautiful restored opera house, tons of excellent restaurants, galleries, shopping and other attractions.   In the areas surrounding downtown Phoenixville, there’s so much to see and do: the phenomenal network of old rail lines that have been turned into recreation trails, Valley Forge National park, shopping, shopping and more shopping – and center city Philadelphia is 30 miles away.  (If you love Broadway shows, as we do, you should know that New York is only 90 miles away!)
